Our chambers carry a variety of critical features for tissue growth and 3-D culture, reflecting our product design philosophy.
Our bioreactor chambers are third generation designs, and capture the benefits of customer feedback. Chambers can be tailored to grow/culture different tissues such as: blood vessels, ligaments, cartilage and bone by stimulating cell-seeded scaffolds via perfusion or controlled mechanical deformation. Though each has unique features, all retain common design characteristics required to make your experiments productive:

LumeGen V60 Chambers
The LumeGen V60 Series of vascular chambers facilitate pulsatile and shear stress stimulation to a single vascular construct. Standard construct sizes may range from 2 - 6 mm inner diameter and from 10 - 60 mm long. The modular design allows installation of the scaffold and cell seeding independently of the stimulation system. Multiple ports are available for media access, catheter probe insertion, sample collection, or further customization. The chamber has a media volume of 60mL.
| Chamber | Sample Number | Max Sample Size | Chamber Volume |
| V60-1r | 1 | 60mm long x 6mm ID | 60ml |
LigaGen L30 Chambers
The LigaGen L30 Series of Chambers delivers oscillatory compressive/tensile axial stimulation to samples with a large aspect ratio. The chambers can be used with a variety of construct materials from decellularized tendons and ligaments to polymerized hyrdogels. The chamber accommodates samples up to 30 mm long, and 3 mm thick. Multiple grip styles allow for a wide range of construct geometries to be stimulated. A unique seal proves a mechanical feed-through into the chamber, while facilitating axial motion in a sterile environment with minimal resistance. Two different chamber designs allow either single sample or multi-sample stimulation. Both chambers can be used with a perfusion system to provide convective media transport around the sample. A variety of grip options may be used with the single sample chamber, including an in situ polymerization grip developed in conjunction with researchers at the National Institutes of Health. This method accomodates constructs formed directly in the L30-1X chambers. A cell-seeded liquid gel is poured directly into a temporary mold constructed around the grips. When the gel polymerizes, the grips are embedded. The mold is subsequently removed, and perfusion via the DynaGen stimulator can be introduced for tissue stimulation and enhanced nutrient exchange. Both single and multi specimen configurations are available.
| Chamber | Sample Number | Max Sample Size | Chamber Volume |
| L30-1X | 1 | 30mm long x 3mm thick | 23 ml |
| L30-4C | 2 or 4 | 30mm long x 3mm thick | 80 ml |
| Grip | Chamber Availability | Features |
| Clamp | L30-1X, L30-4C | Mechanical clamp vice grips with collet locking mechanism. Used for constructs which require a large clamping force. |
| In-Situ Polymerization | L30-1X | Integrated construct mold and porous grips to enable mechanical stimulation of hydrogel scaffolds. |
| Suture | L30-1X, L30-4C | 316 SS tab with suture holes drilled through, accomodates wider constructs then clampl grips. |
| Custom Grips | L30-1X, L30-4C | Custom designed for specific scaffold textures or geometries |
CartiGen C10 Chambers
The CartiGen C10 Series of Chambers delivers oscilatory compressive stimulation4 to disc shaped samples. The chambers can be used with a variety of construct geometries by choosing one of our many sample platen options, maximum sample size iper individual well is 10 mm diameter by 5 mm thick. The maximum sample size for single sample chamber is 30 mm diamter by 5 mm thick. A unique seal provides a mechanical feed-through into the chamber while facilitating axial motion in a sterile environment while allowing axial motion with minimal resistance. Perfusion through a single construct is available with porous platens. The C10-12c chamber has optical grade windows on the bottom, allowing researchers to visualize thier samples in real time, via confocal microscopy, without interrupting the culture.
| Chamber | Sample Number | Max Sample Size | Chamber Volume |
| C10-1 | 1 | 30mm diameter x 5mm thick | 10 ml |
| C10-12c | max 12 | 10mm diameter x 5mm thick | 2ml/well |
| Platen | Chamber Availability | Features |
| Smooth | C10-1, C10-12c | Autoclavable polypropylene, smooth flat face construction. |
| Porous | C10-1, C10-12c | Sintered stainless steel. Enables perfusion through the platen and into construct bottom face. |
| Hydrogel | C10-1, C10-12c | Porous polymer design allows the sample to be cast into platens, preventing the gel from moving. |
| Custom | C10-1, C10-12c | A modified version of TGT's standard platen, built to your specification. |
OsteoGen O10 Chambers
The OsteoGen O10 Series of Chambers deliver perfusion5 and hydrostatic pressures to a cell seeded cylindrical scaffold. The chamber accommodates samples up to 10 mm diameter and 10 mm long. The translucent polymer housing allows vizualization of the construct and media during culture.
| Chamber | Sample Number | Max Sample Size | Chamber Volume |
| O10-1 | 1 | 10mm diameter x 10mm long | 2 ml |
Whatever your cell or tissue type, Tissue Growth Technologies can provide you with the appropriate bioreactor chamber.
